If you have a project to discuss please call our office on 713-377-4209 now.

We are small office with 'good people' who are easy to work with. We are experienced. We understand deadlines and we balance this against doing good work. We are insured against general liability (accidents) and professional liability (design errors).

If you have an emergency* or want to talk to our engineer Gary Beck, P.E. call his cell 713-530-1950. (Try THAT with a larger engineering firm). If Gary is not available leave a detailed message and he will call you back ASAP.
Or, if you want more background, please read on.

ECO's founder became a Texas Professional Engineer in 1981 following a BS-Engineering degree in Civil/structural from Duke in 1975. Gary Beck is a windstorm engineer for the Texas Department of Insurance, and a foundation engineer for the America's Choice 2-10 home warranty program. Career work in composites, machinery, energy, and sustainability were combined in 2003 to form Eco-Holdings. Gary's interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, and 'green' engineering became solidified in 2003 by the US Green Building Council when Gary Beck became LEED accredited for "Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design". While LEED certification is now common with architects, we feel it equally important that 'green' engineers understand modern architectural systems in order to properly support sustainable green buildings and homes.

Have we met? Gary Beck and Eco-Holdings are members of the NSPE (National Society of Professional Engineers, ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), ACI (American Concrete Institute), and USGBC (US Green Building Council). Gary is a past member of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and IDEA (International District Energy Association). Professional development has continued through ongoing education in both engineering and advanced CAD design, as well as regular conference attendance at local and regional ASCE and Texas Department of Insurance conferences for windstorm design. Recent key design conferences have included the USGBC GreenBuild Atlanta, ACI World of Concrete Las Vegas. Energy efficiency participations included ASME and IDEA conferences, plus various local regional and national efforts like TREIA (Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association), and HREG (Houston renewable Energy Group).
